Hi Theo,

I have been getting pingbacks for quite some time. I have not removed them but how does it help my blog?

Also, Today as I was checking my blog posts insights on WordPress, I saw some referrals. I create lists of 30-Day Challenges on my blog and some of the referral sites are using those lists and creating or attempting 30-Day challenge posts. I have not got pingbacks for those sites.

What is the right way to handle this issue? Please help.

Hi Suman

A pingback is like a notification that somebody has linked to your post from their website. Incoming links can be beneficial for SEO.

Okay, but they are linking back to your blog, which can be good.

However, your content is copyright by default (providing you are the original creator of it). So, if you find your exact content posted on another site, you can contact the site owner and tell them to remove it. But, keep in mind that you cannot prevent others from using your content as inspiration to create similar content of their own.

@theo Thank you for your response.

I now understand that my content can be used as inspiration and not everyone may pingback. I will surely connect with them if they are using an exact copy of my blog content.
